Whether it's triggered has to do with whether the X server's "time" counter
(which is just an integer that it repeatedly increments, and unrelated to
wall-clock time) happens to be >2**31. Presumably it was just getting
initialized differently on your two machines...
Anyway, glad to hear it's working!
