For me Mac has a few things going for it - The hardware's really decent with a ram upgrade (do it yourself apple ram is stupid expensive) I'm able to run several VMs - There are a decent amount of tools available - If you use fink, there's TONS of tools available - The IP stack is more stable (though there are some issues still) but I don't have the limited number of sockets issue I'd get with Windows (or has this been fixed yet?) - vm fusion is probably the best VM product out there. It turns my mac into a multi OS system... and it does so in a way that's highly transparent. I didn't think I'd like unity as much as I do... but wow it's nice.
