is the email something like robin @ gmail.com? it's possible that technically illiterate people are just typing their name @ gmail.com or mistaking what their email address is. i remember a long time ago reading a thread and people had these really old usernames like [email protected] and they were getting all sorts of misdirected emails because random people would type in their usernames mistakenly. i've seen people approaching senility who do this too. type in their name @ domain.com
