Hi Mimi.  You need to have a DVD player on your computer.  In other words, 
the drive must be a DVD rom drive, and not just a CD rom drive.  I hope this

the capability of burning dvd's if I
want to, but I have it set to cd.
Anyway, just wanted to ask a question,
because I was thinking of borrowing a
dvd from the library just to see what
would happen if I would try to play one
on my computer.

I've got it too and the descriptive
audio is great.
With Power DVD you cycle between
tracks by pressing just one key - from
memory I think it's 'h'.
There is a list of keypresses near the
beginning of the help files.
