The Ipod isn't a CD player, so no you can't do that with CD's.  Yes, look at 
the descriptions of the different models and most if not all will be 
compatible with Windows, which simply means they can be formatted for 
Windows or the Mack.

CDs and compress them, or does it take them as they are.  And, in that
