And the transcoding just logically has to degrade the quality, unless that's not what it is doing. Winamp won't see those little files, but my TV recording program puts file.mpg.index.dat in as well when it records, not sure what those do, but it sort of throws off my video to audio converter, as .dat must be another video format available. Good thing it is able to silently fail past it. Programs that add files in like that aren't the greatest, but snapstream does clean up it's .dat's by the next day.
