I had a lot of crackling with Eloquence when I got this new computer and it's onboard Realtek sound chip. This was fixed by two driver updates. To bad Creative isn't as good with updates. You would think by now they would understand text-to-speech.
I understand it shouldn't make a difference if you are using AMD or Intell. It is the motherboard chip set that is more important.
