Hi Judy, the Teak GF-350 is a record player with a CD recorder and analog AM/FM radio built into it. there is no noise reduction at all. the phono cartridge is a ceramic one, not a moving magnet or moving coil cartridge which give much better frequency response than the ceramic. the teak also has a set of auxiliary inputs for recording from analog sources too. myself, it isn't something I would particularly want. you would be better off to buy a turntable and a preamp made for a computer and record records to the hard drive using sound Forge or Goldwave. I don't know if Studio recorder has noise reduction or not! .
