Hi Rick.

I have Goldwave 5.12 installed, while the scripts are numbered 5.15.  I 
wouldn't have thought that would create a discrepancy.  I guess I'm 
reluctant to download the current version of Goldwave, which I believe might 
be 5.17, and do the setting all over again.  Your thoughts?

Yes, I'm careful to maximize the Goldwave window.  I notice now that 
insert-pagedown announces the elapsed time as the recorded file plays, but 
no other information, such as the file's total duration.  I wonder if I've 
mistakenly made a setting that cuts short the status line.

Thanks for your tutorials.  They're a big help.  I created these settings 
from yet a third tutorial I came across earlier this year.  You're 
definitely not to blame, and undoubtedly nor are the other people who took 
the trouble to help others learn this program.
