Hello:  I am using JAWS however, as the creator of the DeltaPannel JFW 
scripts, I can tell you that that is not the problem.  Actually, the 
software itself performs as if everything was fine.  It's just that the 
software commands have no affect on the soundcard itself.

The thing may have bit the dust.
