Hello list members,
I've been wanting to upgrade to a better sounding sound card too.
I read some stuff on the net about a mother board that uses vacuum tubes to
transmit the audio signal to your computer speakers.
>From what it says, I guess it's using these little 12AX7 tubes.
The only questions I have about this is, how does this really work?
Tubes are power demanding, and most computers as far as desktops go, they
are running 200 to 400 watt power supplies.
And how good do these vacuum tube based mother boards really sound?
If it will give me a better sound, I'd like to know that.
If it won't give me a better sound then what I'm already getting from what
I'm using right now, I'd like to know that too.
Last time I checked, these boards were going for $250 each for a hole unit.
If it doesn't deliver what it claims, then maybe I'd better not spend the
money.
Thinks in advance!
  John Price.
