Is it worth pursuing?  Yes it is.  There is a learning curve, but between 
hydrogen audio and other documentation, you'll get it.  I do like it better 
than CDex, because it handles your resources better.
    Is it usable (I hate the term accessible,) with JAWS?  It wouldn't be 
worth pursuing if it weren't.
