I'd like to think it to be wrong as well, but I was sighted for 40 years and 
never saw the types of complaining and fighting and whining from other 
sighted persons that I've seen on blind mailing lists from  many blind 
persons over the last 4 years since I lost my sight.

The blind community sadly is far more fragmented from in fighting probably 
more than any sighted group I've seen.
