Kathy,
Your thinking is correct.

I have heard a rumor that the next firmware release for the Vic Stream will
support protected WMA files however, this may come with a small fee for the
upgrade.

Hi, all! Do the Victor Stream and the PlexTalk play digital rights
manangement (DRM) protected files? I was thinking they didn't. Can you
play books from NetLibrary or Overdrive on those two players?
Peace,
Kathy

|i would also like to take notice that the plex talk pocket is far above
what
| the stream can do in quality and portablity since the victor reader stream
| is bigger then the plex talk pocket the pocket will fit in your pocket it
| right now does not play ogg files but it can play mp3s, wav files, txt
files
| html files and has the most clear sounding microphone i have heard in a
| small accessible device the mic is even better then the streamsmicrophone
| you can also record much more with the pocket like tapes, audio, and radio
| since it has a built in externalmic/line in jack.
| the price is 360 dollars and one place to get it is
| IRTI
| and they are very helpful in the questions i have asked their answers are
| totally thoural and this device will surpass the stream cause of what it
can
| do.
