Yes, many sound cards, like the one you have in that netbook, don't have that functionality. To get around this you usually can install VAC, which is Virtual Audio Cable. I had this problem with a stream server that is run on a virtual machine with a SB16 sound card emulated. That SB16 doesn't have the what you hear capability but adding Virtual Audio Cable fixed that. Frank Ventura, MCP
