Okay, I have just one final winamp-related question that hsoulbe be easy for
someone to answer, and then I'll leave you guys alone. In what menu,
submenu, checkbox, wshatever, do you find the choice for music to fade from
one track to another? I found tjat cjpoce bu domlomg arpimd pm ,u pc's
version of sinamp but can't seem to find it on the one I loaded into the
Asus. Is it in Winamp professional or something? I don't remember
purchasing Winamp, but maybe I did at some point, I don't know. So where do
I find this fade from one track toanother with no pauses?

Thanks again, as always!

Peace,
Kathy

| Thank you thank you thank you a hundred times for all your help, Chris and
| gang! I can now use "what you hear" on the Asus in the way my husband and
I
| want to use it. There's no way in the world I could have done this
without
| you!
| That last bit about the plug-in fixed up Winamp and it now sounds just
fine!
|

|
|| Set Winamp to use the wave out plug-in instead of direct output.

||
|| Hi, Chris. Yes, I did re-install total recorder a couple days ago and
|| installed that Kernel 32 driver instead of the user one. So, where do I
|| tell Winamp that I want it to play through the realtech sound card, if
|| that's what I'm supposed to do. Windows Media player plays fine, but I'd
|| prefer Winamp which sounds distorted. I really appreciate your patience.
|| I'm really trying to figure this out on my own but I'm just plain stuck!
| I
|| am so happy I can now do "what you hear" now! Smile.
||
|| Peace,

||
||| Kathy, in Winamp and any other playback programs, set it to use your
|| actual
||| sound card. As I stated previously, if you use the user mode driver and
|| your
||| playback program supports direct sound, sound may be garbled. Hope this
||| helps.

|||
||| So, all you intrepid souls out there, I thank you so far for all your
|| help.
||| I now seem to be able to use What you Hear" using Total Recorder as long
|| as
||| I use an external microphone and not the little mikes on the Asus. I've
||| also installed Winamp today after losing my temper one too many times
| with
||| Windows Media Player. Now the files I play using Winamp sound really
||| distorted. Anyone know what that's about? Again, I'm using Playback
and
||| record through Total Recorder and am running Windows XP Home Edition.
| And
||| while we're on the subject of annoying questions, could someone tell me
|| how
||| to stop that snazzy little touchpad from constantly making me lose
focus?
||| I've slowed the mouse down (I think) but I just have to think and Jaws
|| focus
||| goes to the desktop or My documents or whatever I might have open.
||| Extremely annoying and won't do at all when we try to do webradio!
|||
||| Thanks again so much for all your help!
|||
||| Peace,
||| Kathy
