apart perhaps that is of my lovely wife Pauline, hahaha.
This is fantastic and so easy. Goodness, when I think of all the hours
messing about with the JFW.INI file and changing settings within Sounds and
Audio Devices, and now it's as easy as that.
You wouldn't have any other fantastic ideas about getting the same to work
on my VISTA computer??? smile.
I've been struggling for over a year, trying to get my HP VISTA to accept my
Soundblaster. Although I'm hoping to move onto 7, I'd still like to manage
to get VISTA to use the same setup as we are talking about.

Is that it, Goodness. in the past this has been such a tricky process
messing about with the settings within Sounds and Audio Devices.
However, it's for an XP Home computer running JAWS 8. Does your advice
still apply with that OS, or are you talking about 7?

1. In the JAWS window, open the utilities menu.
2. Open the sound cards menu.
3. Choose your sound card and press enter.
JAWS speech should now come through the chosen sound card. When you
disconnect the card JAWS will revert back to the Windows default one
until
you connect the card again.

I've just moved onto JAWS 11.
In previous versions of JAWS and on XP Home computers, I have been able
to
put JAWS through the on-board sound card and speakers, whilst sending all
other audio out to an external Soundblaster sound card.
This was achieved by inserting a line of text in the JFW.ini file.
I attempted to duplicate this method in JAWS 11 but unfortunately, it did
not work.
Anyone had a go at doing this yet? Very much welcome your advice if you
know how to do this.
