Thanks all, Dane I think you are spot on. I have the same RealTalk and SB setup and my SB is the thingy being used. What I want to do is to be able to just record what I hear through the speakers and save it as a mp3 so I can play with it in GoldWave. I have heard of FreeCorder, mp3mymp3 and TotalRecorder so far. Does anyone have experience picking up audio this way, through what you hear through the speakers, with any of these or something else? Of course, as always, the real problem is accessibility - sigh.
ThanksAgain:
Rick USA

Hi there. it might be a lot simpler if you just downloaded the You Tube
file as an mp3 file. If you wish, i will send you the converter, it allows you to convert and download You Tube video as MP3 files. I have never used
it but know a lot of folk who do and love it. Walter.

Subject: GoldWave Recording From Internet

Hi: I want to record from the internet some YouTube Guitar lessons so I can
practice at a slower rate. I saw the following in some article:
"to record the mixed
sound going to the speakers by selecting
"Stereo Mix" or "What-U-Hear"
doesn't include the mic signal..."
Where is this option? I have looked in my device tab and see a couple of
input devices but nothing about what you hear or my speakers or anything.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I thought I could capture those Internet audio files as they played.
Thanks Rick USA
