The .asx file just tells the player where to get the stream from. I don't
know why GOM Player won't play it. It is like some audio files that will
play on one player but not another. I think there is a forum for GOM Player
but don't know how accessible it is. You might go to the web page and ask
about this.

Subject: Gom player problems.

Hello!
I have an .asx file here which i have no problems playing in windows media
player or foobar2000.
But when playing it in gom player i get the following error message:
 GOM Player
Cannot connect to the streaming server.
Make sure you are connected to the internet and you're not blocked by a
firewall, then try again.
Error code: 0x00000071
OK
Any thoughts on this?
/Anders.
