aha, Ok, well, have you asked your friend to see if something may be checked on, I mean it can be that the newer jaws update might solve the problem, if not, I would use the built in narrator if this is going to happen again.

Don't know for sure.  Id say it's either Home or Professional.  I doubt if
he's using ultimate.

Hello:  Our client has recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7.  He
has both an internal and external sound card for this computer which
he uses for his Karaoke and D.J. work.  He currently has JAWS set to
use the sound card chip on the mother board.  When he boots up and
comes to the welcome screen, JAWS speaks and he enters the password
and presses enter, but then the computer hangs.  When he tries this
without JAWS, everything is fine.
Any ideas?  Oh, by the way, he's using the latest version of JAWS.
