They aren't making those anymore today.
I made the suggestion to him, to get a phono stage preamp from a hi phi
stereo shop, and plug it in to a pare of the line ins on the mixer.

Those phono preamps are for computer use, you'd have to have some kind
of an adapter in order to put that in to a line in.
You would need a phono preamp for hi phi use.

go to the tracertech site and you will find a couple of inexpensive
phono preamps. a valve is what the British used to call vacuum tubes. a
valve EQ would be huge.

Finding a mixer with phono inputs these days, is just like looking
for a sonic needle in a sonic hay stack.
Your best bet, is to buy a phono preamp from a hi phi stereo store
and plug it in to 1 of the sets of line ins on the mixer.
