there is a third party power toy that does this. I have to locate where I
found it, but it works quite well creating iso files and burning them to CD.
or direct copying CD's. the XP version only handles CD's, and the vista
version works with DVD's as well.


I will look for it and post t when I locate it.

Tom,I have wondered about the same thing,but I am now resigned  to just 
ripping  the tracks from the source disk then copy them to the blank either
