I'm passing on this message from a friend, John Machin who requested
assistance a few days ago. He appreciated the responses from people on
this list. -Steve.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for posting my enquiries about "Confirm after download" in Windows 7.
I also like to send my appreciation to those who replied. In
particular a member who's name might be John like me. His email
address is cov...@ccs.covici.com.
Please convey on my behalf my thanks for his information and
suggestions. I did take a look at the url to which he referred.
(www.creativelement.com/powertools). But couldn't see a particular
reference to the setting of something like Confirm after download.
There were many tools and problem solving utilities but not what I am
looking for in Windows 7. I am beginning to think the feature has
been eliminated from Windows Explorer in Windows 7. Perhaps it may
now be known by a different name and may now exist under Internet
Explorer instead.
Hopefully, we may get some more replies. Some one probably knows one
way or the other.
Thanks for all suggestions,
John Machin.

Regards Steve
