Hi Tom and list,

I'm sorry for the delay as I've got tons of correspondence to deal with and I
usually don't bother to often read through the pile of e-mails regarding
conferences generally:).

1. I'm in touch with Stephen Crowler who promised to take a closer look into
Tapin-radio in connection with Window Eyes script so it's supposed to work even
better. The point is that they have many other project to work on but from what
he wrote as soon as they're done with them they'd embark on TR.

2. As far as scheduling goes have you Tom tried to set a task on your own
without Tapin-radio involved? For example try the command line something like

schtasks /create /sc once /tn "testing" /tr "target to the file.txt" /st
hour:minute

in the /tr atribut put c:\folder\textfile.txt ïn order to make it open at a
scheduled time simply choose whatever you want to open and the /st atribut is
e.g. 12:00 there's 24 hours format. Then go to menu
start/programs/accessories/system tools/task scheduler and take a look into the
library of scheduled tasks whether the task has been processed and performed
and its properties about the action.

3. Try to look at running processes in task manager (ctrl+shift+esc) if there's
a app called schtasks.exe. If not then run the command line again (win+r) and
type in

services.msc

find the task scheduling process enabling it in context menu on it.

4. If the action has been performed fromwhat you can read in the libraries of
task scheduler (point no. 2) but despite it all nothing's happened, bring up
the command line again (win+r) type in

eventvwr.msc

and track down the last event in the log in which you could find what really
occured.

The point is that TR cooperates with task scheduler that's built-in in the
system indicating that your problem has to have something to do right with this.

Don and list: Yup..my friend was able to get the scripts installed and, as
you said, it now works like a champ; he's like a kid with a new toy now! So
what would make me happy is if I could get Tapin Radio to schedule an event
(and I just may be on to something) if I find that my hunch (actually a
friend of mine's hunch) proves to be correct, it just may be possible that I
can get Tapin Radio to schedule! Thanks all for helping me to help my
  friend get that program going!
