Merv, I was frustrated when I could no longer use Audition 1.5, it was what I used for quite some time. Audition 2 was not very accessible at all. Audition 3 his kind of hit or miss. There is a Window-Eyes App for it that seems to bring it to life some, but I still found gaps. However, one's ability to explore the screen with the mouse pointer or JAWS Cursor in Audition 2 and 3 isn't good at all since text is displayed in a way that is not visible to screen readers off-screen models. I had also heard there were JFW scripts for it as well but don't have any experience with them.
Someone asked where you can get a demo, and I believe one can still get one on the Adobe web site.
