I have one of the C Crane transmitters. Without modification, it covers my house and yard well. My yard is about 125 by 60 or so. Of course, the higher you can have it, the better coverage you get. I'm told there is an adjustment under the cover that will raise the output some. It was not necessary in my case.

Subject: FM transmitters

Hi all,

I posted the following yesterday, but it hasn't come up on the list, so perhaps for whatever reason it didn't get through. There has been mention recently on the list of high end transmitters with multiple inputs, but I am wanting something very basic which
will just do what I want. My original message follows.

I am looking at getting a small FM transmitter which will transmit the output from a computer headphone jack to an FM radio
approximately 30 to 40 feet away.

I did a Google search and found the C. Crane FM Transmitter 2 which appears to do what I want, but I have heard in the past that the C. Crane transmitters are a little lacking in output power. Does anyone have one of these units and will it operate effectively
over the required distance.

Alternatively, can anyone suggest an equivalent product which is better.

Thanks,
Barry Chapman
