Hi It was ok, not great, but ok, not as clear if you were converting from cd. I would hope they would be better quality. Don't know much about this at all.

There may be a number of reasons why you are hearing distortion, and changint the bit-rate will not fix this. When you say distortion, do you mean over mudulation, or are you hearing artifacts in the audio?
