I did get it to work, but couldn't explain to you just how I got the You Tube videos to convert! Hopefully Dean will come back and give more detailed instructions as to how (I've got the "where to go" parts" but don't clearly understand the method of getting there! Do you tab? Do you do certain keystrokes? You get the idea.

Wel, I can try that program, but the way dean put it, is that it sound
like you might not be able to make all links work, I don't no if I
understand correctly, but I can try it.

Hello Dean and list: Thanks for the instructions as to which menus to go in

Freemake Video; now then..could you give us (mainly me) a more precise
direction as to how to accomplish the "where to go?" I got to where I
needed to be ; even converted a couple of You Tube videos to MP3, but
couldn't tell you how I got there! Part of the problem is my computer (it
tends to want to be a little slow and not respond immediately to commands
that I issue! I would also like to know if this program will allow one to
actually save the You Tube video and all? Converting to MP3 is fine and
I'll find applications where that may be all I want; just the audio! But
which is the best way to convert if I want video as well as audio? Many
thanks for the information you have provided so far!

You can use the free program Freemake Video Converter which is available
at:

www.freemake.com

You copy the link of the Youtube page then go to the opened program.

Next go to the edit menu and the only thing there is paste so enter on
that.

Next go to the convert menu and choose which format to save the video or
audio.

A dialog will come up. You can set presets or change presets then tab to
... and enter to select where to save the file.

then tab to convert and hit enter.

You may get some warnings or alerts. I don't know what these say since
jaws won't read them. sometimes you will be able to download the Youtube
but some of the videos are blocked. so if you get a warning or alert try a

few more times to make sure if you can download it or not.

Well if what I am afraid has happened really _has_ happened (that they've
changed this program to the point where we can no longer use it, I hope
there's another good program that we can use that will accomplish the
same
thing!

I am glad you mention that, since I also discovered that something has
change with that program. Its not the same, mine work fine but it
doesn't allow me to create presets anymore. I am not sure in your case
either what the problem is, but the help file is really crap to say
the least.

something, causing it to not be accessible? Maybe I need someone to
send me
precise instructions as to how to use this program, but it's just not
letting me find what I think I'm supposed to find! Or maybe it's my
computer that is at fault; maybe it's just too slow to respond to the
commands or something! I keep tabbing..but it's taking me nowhere! I
see a
video that I have converted from a good while ago..but it's not letting

me
get off of that spot! I'm sorry that I am unable to explain this any
better! Am using Jaws 14 and Windows XP. Hopefully someone here can

is
going on here!
