Odd. I don't know then. Speech is usualy mono and that may have to do with
it. I don't remember at the moment not having played speech files on a real
surround sound system in a while.

Yes that is what i have it set on  like i said music plays nicely but the
speech does not work like it did on my other 5.1 computer speakers.

Ok, I just purchased the speakers in the subject line.
I am having the following problem When trying tto hook the speakers up to my
soundblaster x-fi extream audio sound card the rear speakers do not produce
any sound.
The front and center prodouces sound.
Music sounds from all speakers but my speech from my screen reader does not.
Can anyone please help me figure out how to set these speakers up correctly?
