If you close the browser and go back to play a youtube video / audio you have
to repeat the process to get the audio back.

List, there's one final thing I forgot to say.

  After using the arrow key
to increase the volume, you must hit insert key z to turn back on your
  virtual cursor.

  Hi Peter,

I assume in your case the volume would stay up. I had difficulty with that
do to the fact that in my attempts to fix the problem I messed around in a
few functions within Explorer10 and windows8 and disabled something. I was
able to bring that back to normal. I think those settings were just a
factor in my specific situation. In addition I went through so many
different settings before I fixed the problem that I don't remember my exact
steps that worked. I should have made a mental note of them but I was so
glad that the problem was fixed I just went on to my next project.

Hi Dave. I tried this and the volume did go up. How do I make sure the
volume stays up so I don't have to do this each and every time I play
something on YouTube? Thanks for any info on this.

I was not able to do this in
jfw either. You can do it in NVDA. To turn the volume back up right click
on the flash area, use the up and down arrows to go to settings. Click on
settings. Then hit the up arrow and while playing a video you will hear the
volume rise. I hope this helps.

  Hi all

Unfortunately I did not follow this thread as I did not have this problem.

But now it has happened to me also!

My youtube seems to have been muted. I can find an unmute button but there
is no way to activate it. Neither the space bar or the enter key works.
If I right click within the flash area and go to settings, I can also find
this unmute button but I find no way of activating it. If I route jaws to
pc to try and left click on it, the jaws cursor cannot find it!

  Any help?

Thanks for all the replies regarding my YouTube audio problem. As a result
I was able to fix the problem by right clicking within the flash, going to
settings and then using the up arrow to bring the volume up. Thanks again.
