Hi all. I'll try and make this request as simple as possible but it is about a subject I know nothing about so if I display some ignorance then I ask your tolerance.
I'm involved with a government funded project that is based around helping disabled people to understand the services that are on offer to help them decide for themselves the level of independence they can handle and the level of help they need and how to get the funding to accomplish this. For those in the UK this deals with the SDss service (Self Directed Support Scotland). The guy in charge would like to provide audio recordings of varying aspects of this service but the problem is where to host them so they are accessible to all. He sent me a link to www.soundcloud.com to check it out for accessibility and when I played the music tracks that were there I as a blind person could not access the other play controls as the music drowned out the screen reader. These controls did not have any keyboard shortcuts so were impossible to hear until the music ended. This would be fine for those who can see a screen but not for those who can't. Does anybody know of a service, some host where these files can be posted and can be accessed by all and that the play controls can be accessed by keyboard commands? Free services would be preferred but at this point anything is of interest. If anyone can help with a place to place these audio podcasts then I'd be grateful for your help.
