Issued resolved. It was a problem with the default router not being set 
correctly. Once I set that, PCA is working like a charm.

Never seen the message before. Try "wget
https://sunsolve.sun.com/patchdiag.xref"; to check whether this is an
error from pca/perl or from wget.

I don't think that this is the real issue, though:

> wget: unable to resolve host address `sunsolve.sun.com' Failed

Seems as if DNS isn't setup correctly - check /etc/resolv.conf and
/etc/nsswitch.conf. Try "getent hosts sunsolve.sun.com" - it should
return an IP address for sunsolve. You could workaround this by using
"--shost=192.18.108.40" with pca.
