Thanks for the great, highly informative posts! Really appreciated.
Looks like the original poster's reported speed increase was due to
either software changes he made trying to cure the problem or
rearranging the IRQs by moving the card to a slot on the other bandit.
(No inherent advantage to using any particular slot--just that
particular card was happier using an IRQ assigned by the other bandit
chip.)
