To all the list,

I have a few questions about OS X 10.2 on a 7300 upgraded (naturally to
G3/300 , xlr8 MachSpeed running 315 mhz with a 45.5 mhz bus speed),

First, is the OS slow on these machines or is there some tweeking I can
do to speed it up? I have over 400MB in it. I have two HD's, a clean
4.5GB IBM and a 9GB Seagate, the Seagate is the startup disc.

Second, the numeric pad on my keyboard doesn't work in X, though it
works fine in 9.2.2. It is a Kensington ADB keyboard. Do I need to
buy a USB keyboard ?

Third, my monitor won't start up until I press the power button. It's
on a Twin Turbo 128. It used to start up just fine before the upgrade.
Now it won't turn on even in 9. The monitor is an Applevision 1710
with the ADB ports on it.

Finally, my floppy won't work. Yes it works fine in 9. What can I do
to keep this precious bit of hardware? I need it because it's an IBM
world at work. Those machines don't have Zips.

Sorry to have sooo many questions. But these things are quite
irritating. I like the features of X and would like to continue using
them. But it really sucks (can I say that?) when the computer reminds
me of my old IIvx!

Thanks for your help/comments!
