True but you can't assume all are like that.  I tend to ask a  lot of 
questions before I _say_ anything.  It allows me to get a view of "The 
whole" so I can better help the person.

Don't feel bad about charging people.  Often they will feel "uneasy" 
somehow if you don't - they very often can't find another way of 
thanking you for your help or giving something in return.

She needs some serious training then so she can be confident enough to 
say no to someone touching her system.  That and you need to make sure 
that it _is_ her system.  Someone else may own it technically and she's 
just not telling you.

As for the other point - I half-agree.  Mac users are often more 
comfortable with their computer but also as often less trained to defend 
against "tampering".
