     It's the first and last device rather than drive - the mobo scsi
controller is the first device and automatically terminates - all devices
after this on the chain should be unterminated and have a unique scsi id
except for the last device which should also have a unique id and
termination enabled.
     Some hard drives have the termination via jumper option but many -
especially wide server drives which are designed to fit a terminated
enclosure - do not and require termination via an adapter - 50/80 pin
adapters can be purchased with sca jumper termination - and I believe
50/68 pin adapters are available with termination but I've never used one
- if neither the drives nor the adapters have the option to terminate a
plug in terminator can be fitted to the connector after the last device
on the chain provided the length of the ribbon between them is not too
long - 4 inches or less I think.
