Derf makes two very important points

1. Do NOT use EDO RAM on a 7200.

2. A 7500,7600,7300,8500,8600,9500,9600 will treat EDO RAM just like FPM.

AFAIK, there is no advantage to EDO over FPM

There is EDO and FPM, so yes, non-EDO would be FPM. EDO is a bit faster but if your computer RAM controller can not take advantage of the EDO, then it will be treated as FPM. The one exception the I can think of is the 7200. FPM only, as EDO may damage the logicboard.
