QuickTime 5 on my Macs seems to have problems opening JPEG files. I will
try to open a .jpg in PictureViewer, & it will sometimes work, other times
it will complain that there isn't "enough memory", but upping the memory
doesn't work, & usually another program (Photoshop, etc.) will open the
picture fine. I haven't tried QT 6, from what IU hear, I don't think I
want to, or have occasion to.

I believe all the modern QT installers have an un-install feature.
