I have an XLR-8 which seems very efficient at 334 MHz (I am sure it is a bit zippier than a Powerlogic G3/4 I run at 360 MHz for some reason). You can probably get this sort of speed at reasonable prices. Higher speed, I don't know? My advice is to up your RAM as much as possible and be modest in spending on MHz CPU.
