There is a road to travel to achieve 9.2+ on your machine. I would not believe without seeing (sorry, no offence to anyone here) a machine of 7300/180 vintage become a fast and efficient OS 9.2+ using, all regular beaut apps that work fine from 7.5 to 9. without spending so much that it would be just plain obvious that you would have been better off jumping to a faster bused machine like a G4.

In general, take into account where you are in the evolution of your
machine. And the road ahead. I can see how 9.2 could easily be "round the
corner". But not from the sound of where you are at.

I've been wondering what the improvements are there in OS 9.2. What advantages does it offer ? Is it that much different than 9.1 ?
How much RAM overhead does it take for a normal installation with a decent desktop picture ? I have heard many here say it runs slower. Is it bloated compared with 9.1 ? Or is the code just so much different that it puts more load on the cpu ?
