The ONLY complaint I have with Eudora Pro is that it will occasionally decide to compact a mailbox when I close the mailbox. So I have to spend 30 seconds or so watching the spinning cursor.
Move the Esoteric Settings plug-in into the Eudora Stuff folder, then relaunch Eudora. Then you'll have a "Compaction" item in the Settings list. :)
