---------
I have a couple of 68 pin drives. One is now in an 8500 and the other is
in a 7200. The two adapters I was able to find to convert the 68 pin to
50 pin to match the SCSI cables in the two machines are straight, adding
over an inch to the length of the drives. In the 7200 (same chassis as
the 7300, I had to put the drive in the lower bay (where my 7300 has a
Zip drive). The adapter interferes with the angle of the chassis if
placed in the "normal" top bay. On the 8500, I had to shave away a part
of the plastic drive bay housing in order to slide the drive/adapter
combination into the upper HD bay. A bit of a pain, but both drives work
fine.
