Well, AFAIK, all computers use some form of TCP/IP to communicate across the Internet. 
 At least, that's what I recall from my old TCP/IP textbook.  

Either way, my 8600/200 works just fine connected to a wired port on my D-Link router 
from (you guessed it) Officemax.  I've no guarantees how the wireless should work, but 
amongst my PCs, there is no distinction.  All my wired and wireless PCs can 
communicate to each other just fine.
