Hi all;
  I know the poster was talking about OS9, but one of the original
statements in this thread was that OS9 would not see HFS files (or format).
 Mac OS 8 and earlier was HFS format. Mac OS 8.1 and later had the option of
HFS+ format. Any Mac OS that will see HFS+ format will see the HFS format.
  Hope this clears up any confusion. HTH
