Krylon Fusion is what I used. This is a special paint just for plastic it runs about 5-6 bucks a can. > Of course, once you've got the paint down, you're probably gonna want to > pimp it out even more. I've stuck to paint and sticker treatments so far on the Mac's. The two tools that are essential if you're going to start cutting into case panels are a hole cutter and dremal tool. I've been leery of making the attempt on cases. That I didn't have ready access to spare panels for. That's one thing I'd recommend is practice on a gutted out case first. It's very easy to make mistakes. The old saying about measure twice cut once are words to live by. > Almost every PC mod can be done to a Mac, you'll just have to be more > creative given that Macs really aren't meant to be modded and pimped out > like any non-store-bought PC. Actually when the case modding craze on the PC side of things started it was all standard four solid sides boring cases too. Now people can buy what I call cheater cases. PC cases with clear side panels fan grills with cut outs have become the norm rather than the exception. If people had to actually cut those side panels themselves. I don't think we'd be inflicted with near as many. I've gone back to a case with solid sides except for the 80mm lighted fan on the left side. I'm going for really cool paint effects rather than cutting holes in the case at this time. Anything that works on a car for a paint effect works on computer cases. One of the really cool things you can do once you have the case painted the color you want. Take a 8x10 color photo you really like and tape it down with thin double stick tape then blast the whole thing with about 5 clear coats. Makes a very attractive effect on the right hand side. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
