This thread and Colins post about disk error -127 both relate to my post 10 days ago "Win NTSF format and OS 9 ".
It seems some of us OS 9 / Legacy PCI Mac users have a need for some cross-platform file sharing without the maddening disk errors, corruption and
lack of readability.
Would anyone who uses OS 9/8.6 and communicates by disk swaps with PCs error/problem FREE on a DAILY basis please
tell us how to do so. Specifying programs used, type of disk, formatting and other details of how this is done.
We need the advice of professionals here. Let the guess work cease! And may the data transfers be smooth !

Could we also have info on what kinds of files you are transferring. Sometimes these files can be cross platform.Like jpegs Although Adobe and Microsoft keep adding their ' improvements " which sometimes get in the way. Or sometimes there is a need to download an archive or compressed file
while using an opposite platform. This often adds it's own headache.
Plain text files and Word files seem to be the easiest
I think that we have pretty well ruled out communicating with any NTFS ( see Blake I CAN learn ) formatted disks.
Is anyone out there working in a medium to large business environment that has Macs and PCs in harmony? ( Hard enough to get them in harmony with their own tribe I would bet ! )
