Hello all,

Recently I posted my PM 6500 on the swaplist and got no responses. So, I
decided I'll probably just keep this old machine and do some upgrading to it
soon, though, that was far form my original intention.

I need some help identifying the internal modem of this machine. From
everything I read, I gather that it is either a GeoModem, or a Global Village
Modem. The system software on this machine is messed up (which will hopefully
soon be fixed by an new installation of OS 9), and I cannot gather any
information software wise about which modem I have. Also, I have seen a chart
to determine which modem is installed in a Performa 6400 by the serial number,
however, the 6500 serial number doesn't match these.

Does anyone know how to identify the modem by appearance? Is there any other
way to tell? Thanks in advance. This is very importan tto me because I hear
that many have problems upgrading other parts because of incompatibilities with
GeoModems. Thanks again!

Jason
