Check the DIP settings again and verify this with the table of settings.
Your 333 G3 should run at 6x cpu multiplier (DIP switch 10 on) and 50 MHz
bus (1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8 on) to give 300 MHz like what I have on a 7600. The
cache should run 149 MHz on auto). Some G3s bundled with the card had
defective backside caches and would freeze after the contral panel loads -
best to disable it. Alternately you could try a 512k L2 motherboard cache
which will run but slower than if the  cache were present.
