I just got a Radeon 9200 PCI Mac Edition. I installed it in my beige G3 (upgraded to G4, OS 9.2.2 - removed the Voodoo3 that was in there) and rebooted.
The Mac started fine, right up to the happy Mac. Then it stalled. I can reboot using Command-Control-Power, but I can't do anything else. It doesn't even show the Mac OS splash screen (it seems to die just before getting there).
Curiously, the Mac boots fine into 8.1 and 8.5, but it can't boot into 9.0, 9.1, or 9.2.2. Each time I try OS 9, the Mac halts before it displays the splash screen. It does this EVEN IF I'M NOT USING THE CARD TO DRIVE A DISPLAY!
I've tried everything I can think of including swapping slots with different cards, resetting the PRAM (more times than I can count), pushing the CUDA, etc.
Can anybody help?
Peace, Drew --
