I'm no expert on SCSI, but I have a couple of 10K Cheetahs (UltraSCSI2 Wide) that just fly on an ATTO ExpressPCI UL2D (80 MH/sec) controller. You can find them fairly cheap on ebay or the Swaplist. Your drive is probably at best U2W, more likely just Ultra2 (40 MB/sec); so don't bother spending extra for a newer (U160 or U320) controller. I've also heard good things about the Initio U2W card, but I haven't seen many of them floating around the used sources and haven't had a chance to try one.
